I mean he plays standard accoustic taylors now all the time with the few electric songs. The guitar you see him play in all the old videos like Too much and trippin' billies, that black thin body one...he used to use in the live shows all the time, now he never uses it anymore, when did he stop using it?

I'm not exactly sure when he started playing the Taylors, but the Taylors he plays are Grand Concert style guitars that are smaller bodied and tend to have a brighter sound to them. Not so bass-ie. He's playing a Martin dreadnought in this vid, I believe it may even be his signature guitar. he still plays this (and other dreads) when he plays with Tim quite a bit but he's usually playing with the smaller Taylors with the whole band.

2000-2001 if you watch Foldsom Field it is kind of the evolution that DMB is today. Dave's Taylor, Steffan's Mod's etc, etc.
