Ted Nugent, Damn Yankee's :P The first concert I ever saw, was Styx Paradise Theater at the LA Forum, I had just turned 13, it was a gift, my very first concert, just two 13 year old girls, on their own. I was a poor kid, just the sight of the Forum was stunning to me. I stood on a chair, 10 rows from the stage. I listened simply speechless as the opening song was sung, and went into a trance of awe and bewilderment when the light came on. Wide eye I watched and never forgot.

Damn Yankees, Ted Nugent. It was definitely late eighties though. Tommy Shaw also had a solo career with three albums that came out in 1984, 1985, and 1987, titled "Girls With Guns," "What If," and "Ambition," respectively. I win :).
