correction, every dance is about self expression and every dance has a foundation. bboyin has rules just like every other dance. if you dont know what bboying's foundation is then you learned it from the wrong person. freak show lost because they dont bboy end of story.

bottom line is freakshow doesn't use the foundation of bboyin. if you dont show an understanding of the foundation how can we tell what dance style you are using. freakshow doesn't do or has poor tops, footwork, and power. the freezes and tricks they land are good but thats all they have. with just freezes, tricks and nothing else a beginner bboy could take them out in a battle just using tops, 6-step to baby freeze.

im not hating. to be honest i think they would be a powerful crew if they showed an understanding in the foundation and danced. by show an understanding in foundation i dont mean change there style. i just mean bring the same creature like feel they have into there footwork and tops. look at palmer, he is very intresting with his foot work but still show at the same time that he knows his foundation. respect to freakshow but learn the dance you are doing.

freakshow tricks are good but sometimes sloppy so its hard to see them passed their tricks. Maybe they're six step and tops are supposed to look that way? (i.e. bboy exzooberant) I kinda look at it like doing threads or frog poses, whatever you want to call it, is like the trickers/abstract own style of "six step" because its a basic foundation for them before they pop in their blow up move. Bboy fanatic is a good example of real foundation plus abstract
