That's not a bloody review! DAMN! By the way Juno is a 4 star teen movie with a really heartwarming story and There Will be Blood is an incredible 5 star film that's just a tad better than the Coen Bros mindblowing recent debut No Country.

Just my own opinion man...sorry i realise i forgot to say that. Fair play they were both absolutely incredible films but I personally feel that 'There will be Blood' had a lot more depth...plus I absolutely bum Paul Thomas Anderson.

actually the worst film I have ever seen.
Daniel Day Lewis --as always- played the role very well.
He has the mannerisms down in each and every role.
He is incredible.
Too bad his talent was wasted on this peace of crap movie.
And yes---everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
The Oscar will probably go to a lousy movie again--Crash-sucked
The Departed-sucked

I loved There Will be Blood as well as most of the winners these past few years. But sure, I have to agree with you that the winners used to be better, but that's pretty much because most of the movies nowadays suck. Hollywood has lost it. But out of what we have to choose among, i think the jury of the Oscars have made great decisions concerning the winners.

The Deaparted was clever---BUT that is about it.
As far as Crash is concerned-ask the film students from the well known art institutes in Savannah and LA and Toronto how EASY it is to make a film like Crash--vinyettes
which are 'supposed' to work together but oh so tritley
as for the Muppets--Space was Not their best issue
I would say---Treasure Island was--

Kite Runner was --and it did not EVEN get nominated for the best FOREIGN film

there will be blood has to be one of the sorriest films hollywood has out there
but they are out of touch with real life
as they claim to be so eco-friendly
and yet---
there they are in their auto gas gugglers
--that is AFTER they go gah gah on Al gore as if he was the messiah
the same Al gore who had a HUGE electric bill on his HUGE home in tennessee
The films nominated this year
moved slowly in the story
and script and most writers
have lost touch with the spirit of REAL art!

The Kite Runner was good but ignored because the book was superior. I agree with you that Crash was sentimental hollywood crap.
There Will Be Blood, however, was phenomenal. You cannot complain against this film in terms of artistic merit. The acting is to the highest standard, the theme/story is absolutely unique and non genre-specific, the score is post-minimalist and abstact, it begins in darkness with no opening credit
s, and there isn't even a line of speech in the first 20 minutes!!

There Will Be Blood: 2:00:08:00 -- Upon the actual recognition of each of the two orders(not the affirmation of recognition by the server) there is precisely a 3:1 wait time for The drinks to complete hitting the table on both orders(remember timing is from recognition to completion) It takes 99 seconds (98.9) for lewis's character to recieve his drinks and 33 seconds (32.9) for his enemies' drinks to be served fully. 99 to 33. He only becomes irate at the 2:1 mark; Traumatic at the 3:1.

Capitalism vs. Christianism: plain and simple. It has the flawless timing of OZU and Gitai. It has DDL the new classic(sorry bale) It has who we must become to win in the lives we live;constantly losing. It is a book of success in how to live without changing the system. It is an artifact of conservative fore-warning. We will be only one in the end: Christian or Capitalist. There is no inbetween. And for now, it seems christian has become the choice of when to enact which. Beat to save???

There Will be Blood and Juno are excellent movies, it is intresting because the school I go to as the highest teen pregnancy rate in the country so sadly when someone gets pregnant it is not as big a deal as it was in Juno

There Will Be Blood is as close as a movie will ever come to evoking a Cormac McCarthy novel. Wonderfully gritty.
