| Chili is a specific group of peppers. Not all hot peppers are chili peppers therefore they are not interchangable. There have been some who have dabated whether or not Naga (bhut)Jolokia's are really chili's at all. |

| I should have went ahead and said this in my original comment, but didn't think it'd come up. Chilli is completely interchangable with pepper based on geographical location. Some places use chilli specifically for the hot kind, I believe? Not sure. But I know that in British English, they remain completely interchangable. |

| It didn't take much convincing. He was told that it is the hottest pepper on record but even with that I don't think he expected it to be quite like that. I guess it's similar to bungee jumping.....without a cord. |

| Actually Scotch Bonnets are in a group tied for number 3. The Bhut (naga) Jolokia is number one (more than doubling the Scotch Bonnet on the Scoville Chart) and the Red Savina is number two. |

| Scotch Bonnets are pretty darned hot. We actually like to dry them along with Chocolate Habaneros (about the same heat range) and Red Savina's. They make a great spice pepper for pasta. The Bhut is on a totally different level. It's an incredible experience. |
