Sure, you can get sticker shock at the gas station, but you don't have to give up your sport-utility vehicle. You don't even have to give up the carlike luxury trimmings you've come to expect as part of the SUV experience. That's what the 2009 Mercedes-Benz ML320 Bluetec and 2008 Lexus RX 400h ar
e meant for. Or maybe you're looking to make a political statement. Those on the right-hand side of the aisle might want to use less imported oil, while left-leaning types just want to use less oil, period. And what better way to represent your social consciousness than with the SUV you drive? In
fact, this comparison is all about the debate. Once you commit to a greener way of life with a sport-utility, which is the better choice, diesel or hybrid? 2009 Mercedes-Benz ML320 Bluetec or 2008 Lexus RX 400h?

´s parents used to own a 99 Lexus &%$&%$. It all depends the treatment you gave to your car, believe me that. I respect Lexus with this Tec, but I would prefer a Diesel Merc engine...
and now my 2002 Honda Civic works everything fine...I feel like I've been seening nightmares before. I will never own an Euro AGAIN.
So what honestly makes you think that this Lexus will not be reliable?
Engine? What about the engine? You mean reliability? It is as reliable as any Toyota cars. You have no clue what you can do with the Lexus LS engine. Lexus IS-F engine is basically a cooked up version of Lexus LS engine, and it is beast fast. When LS sounds more like a gentleman, IS-F is more li
ke a performance car. But LS still also can perform.
Lexus cant match Mercedes
WRONG. You have no ideas of what you are talking about.
Ok the ML might not be quite as fuel-efficient as the RX in town, but why dont you take a Jetta TDI if the only thing you care about is fuel efficienty ? True SUV = ML Joke = RX
Predicted Reliability: 4/5 4 stars is above average which is very good, who gives a shit if your car has perfect reliability ? You dont keep your car 20 years... also, the Benz engine is better than the RX
Again, predicted reliability of 4/5 for the S class, you dont know shit about cars man.
The Lexus is reliable and comfortable, but just too bland and boring. The Mercedes actually has some SUV character to it. Id easily take the ML over the RX
And how is bluetec in anyway supposed to be hybrid technology? Its a clean diesel engine. Nothing more, nothing less.
