lol, you're an idiot. Not only is a wrx twice the weight of an s2000, it has less power too, AND 4wd (that's a bad thing on a racetrack by the way). Lastly, I think you'll find it was a WRX STi, not a WRX. It's important to make the differentiation, but even the STi still wouldn't 'kill' an s2000 round that track.

he was getting hounded by two cars with about 50 hp more than it each. well, fifty more lb/ft for the WRX, than the rx8. I love my rx8, and wouldn't trade it for any of the above cars. It reminds me of my old s14.5 240sx in both power delivery and handling. But a bit more of each. :O

Your information is not correct. S2000 is only 150lbs lighter and the power difference between the S2000 and the WRX is about 5-10hp tops. (the JDM WRX is 240hp, not the USDM 227hp, JDM S2000 is about 240-250). Second, the video features a plain WRX here, not a WRX STi. The purpose of this video to compare and contrast the cars in the same price & performance range to the RX-8. Lastly, a stock WRX STi finishes 2-3 seconds faster at Tsukuba than a stock S2000.

I was telling the previous poster that the WRX is heavier and not as powerful as an S2000. S2k 240hp, WRX 225hp. Then I pointed out that the one on the vid is not a WRX, it's an STi. Then I said that still an STi wouldn't kill an S2000 track, it might be faster with the right driver, but not by mu
ch. Where's the problem? Id also like to add (AS AN S2000 OWNER), that the stock Ap1 S2000 is faster than the stock WRX. Period

It's a Skyline 350GT/370GT (V35/V36). It has nothing to do with the previous Skyline GT-R's and the new R35 GT-R.

yet again this video proves it. stock rx8 can keep up or follow behind s2000 but never will surpass it.(in both handling and straight line speed) it just disgust me how so many rx8 owners keep clamin that they can take out s2000 in stock vs stock and if not its drivers race or someshit. LMFAO to those guys.

Seriously, they believe that? I never hear it. I thought they liked the RX-8 b/c it's cheaper, has 4 seats and it's "close enough". I'm a rotary fan but I'm disappointed in the RX-8 b/c it's so half-hearted. It's nice but mostly from tech developed by others or old stuff. We're still waiting for direct injection, and the advanced materials of the s2k aren't even slated. So lazy. I miss the days when rotary auxiliary induction beat its equivalent (VTEC) by 5 years, and then did more.

1 or 2 more laps that Infini/Nissan/Skyline/350 would have went past the s2ooo. Which was surprising. If it wears the Infini badge it means it packed to the teeth with comfort and electronic gizmos right. Either way, pretty cool race. The Integra did well too getting past the Mazda RX too.
