| I think it is intriguing that the song "Street Player" is actually the basis for the Bucketheads' song "The Bomb". And I think it just sucks ass that most listeners of music that samples other recordings don't give a shit about the similarities to the past. Because I am Will Smith fan who is a simultaneous listener of funk! Seeing that hip hop was an extension to funk in the first place. The Bomb song however is a techno song that recycles Street Player in its entirety. |

| Actually, I meant to say, the song "The Bomb", in its entirety contains some loops of Street Player. Also, Techno is so subjective, that my mind bleeds it with House music. |

| Disco music was still big back in 1979 when "Street Player" by Chicago was released. Some fans of Chicago may list the album "Chicago XIII" as their worst; however, this is a fine song from that album. The horns blend in nicely with the disco sounds in my opinion. Does anyone agree? |

| Everything after 4:30 is one of the most prized club classics. People who participated in the "Disco Sucks" movement are often surprised how good this song sounds. That's because any of style of music only "sucks" to non-musicians. To a musician, the only thing that sucks is poor execution, of which there were many examples in disco. Incomprable Airto's absolutely KILLER percussion, and great musicianship by the band, make this a great piece of music, irrespective of any narrow-minded "style". |
