Massive Attack Union presents The LHC

Uploaded by: Nfactor2006
Video Description:
In October 2008, The Large Hadron Collider at CERN, inbetween Switerzland & France will conduct the most elobrate and powerful experments ever in human history.
LHC could discover parallel universe's the Higgis Boson (aka God Particle) and many of if not all of the universe's secrets could all be laid bare for the first time. It's exciting time to be alive make sure to visit CERN website and watch The Science Channel on what makes up the LHC@CERN

about 110 yrs ago nikola tesla discovered high energy particles called cosmic rays first called radiant energy.he used their minute energies to run small lighting device for detection.he also shot electrons and matter at metal plates showing the first particle accellerator collisions in history using metal plates around 1889.i have shown his patented work as the first scientist to find cosmic rays.i also tell you how to build a basic detection device from very basic materials!please check it out

MovieMaker, I like your view of things, and agree with your point, but actually this sort of has been done. Cosmic rays have been doing what is essentially the same thing. The only difference is that the LHC will be controlling things much more precisely, and will be watching more closely.
This is NOT an ... ( 3 months ago by Madchimpz)
This is NOT an exciting time for me.. It's a time of anxiety, worry, and stress. I hate how inconsiderate these fuckers are being..
Why couldn't they do this after I died?

Don't worry, what they'll find out and discover will change the world. So rest easy Rob
Then please tell me ... ( 3 months ago by Madchimpz)
Then please tell me I don't have to worry about 2012 either..

Why would you have anxiety about this? you cant stop it so why bother worrying? if they make a black hole then they make a black hole, we all die eventually anyways.

hey iv been playing through half life 2 lately haha, it really is fitting music tho, imagine the LHC made an incident like at black mesa? that would be intense :P

There is a difference between living the rest of my life and "dying eventually".. I didn't go to school for 14 years just to die in October of 2008.
The movie correctly ... ( 3 months ago by AnduinX)
The movie correctly states that if cosmic rays could create micro black holes they would pass through the earth, barely interacting with anything and retaining their speed. This is because most of what we call matter on earth is 'empty space' and extremely tiny sub-atomic particles can pass through planets and stars without interacting with everything.
However! Neutron ... ( 3 months ago by AnduinX)
However! Neutron stars are a different story. They have more mass than our sun and are compacted into a space roughly 10 kilometers in diameter. They're so dense that any cosmic ray that attempted to pass through them would interact and come to a halt for sure. Therefore is micro black holes from cosmic ray level energies or below were a problem there would be NO neutron stars in the universe because they would all have collapsed into black holes.
Therefore there is ... ( 3 months ago by AnduinX)
Therefore there is no danger from micro black holes because neutron stars exist for long periods of time. The quantum vacuum collapse is ridiculous as well. Collisions of much higher energy go on all the time all over the universe and none of them have triggered a vacuum collapse. It's not physically possible.
As for strangelets: ... ( 3 months ago by AnduinX)
As for strangelets: "RHIC has now run for eight years, searching for strangelets without detecting any. At times, the LHC will run with beams of heavy nuclei, just as RHIC does. The LHCs beams will have more energy than RHIC, but this makes it even less likely that strangelets could form."
...because the RHIC ... ( 3 months ago by AnduinX)
...because the RHIC collider has already been running for many years and not produced any strangelets, they will not be a problem either. "It is difficult for strange matter to stick together in the high temperatures produced by such colliders, rather as ice does not form in hot water. In addition, quarks will be more dilute at the LHC than at RHIC, making it more difficult to assemble strange matter." Strangelet production is impossible.

black holes don't dissapear, they feed on matter and grow.

This is what the Macrobes told the Sons of the Serpent. They had to learn to open something in space. First to learn this they had to make energy from matter which they did with the Atom Bomb 1947. Now they can learn how to do the opposite. Energy into matter 2008. Now humans can pass through the web in the sky and explore other planets in person. But also others will be able to come in as well. Maybe that's what will happen 2012? The other studies are a cover for the real reason it was built.

Haha you're so ... ( 3 months ago by DevonRe)
Haha you're so un-informed.. You'd need an LHC with a length equal to the milky way's circunference to run the smallest risk!
Cosmic rays hit the earth every moment... Please people stop bubbling junk man isn't so intelligent to build something that would really create a black hole!
Yes the RHIC is ... ( 3 months ago by Bugstomper2)
Yes the RHIC is more likely to produce Stranglets than the LHC, because it has lower energy impacts, and is therefore cooler. Making a Stranglet has been likened to making Ice form in hot water. There have been two recorded incidents of possible Stranglets travelling through Earth, at 900,000mph, unimpeded. But those made in a Particle Accelerator would not escape Earth's gravity well.

"There have been two recorded incidents of possible Stranglets travelling through Earth, at 900,000mph, unimpeded." A 'strangelet' is a large heavy charged particle similar in size to a Proton, it could be stopped easily by a sheet of paper. Any produced by cosmic rays could not possible pass through the earth so I suspect your suspected sightings were not.
