Heh. I'm an admin. Does that make me a double fucker? In any case, there's many mods you haven't met that are very friendly, sometimes too much so, for the sake of their forum. Most mods you'll meet truly do care for their community, admins as well.

Don't forget, though, that oftentimes rule breakers indirectly are beneficial to forums, for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, there are mods who abuse their power as soon as they get into position, for no reason other than a quick laugh. Then there's mods, like the speaker in this song, who are intense and appear like shitheads, but do have feeling for what they do, and ultimately changed the forum forever. On a side note, when I was a mod I couldn't do half the stuff detailed here. :P

Same at our forum the mods aren`t able to change the forum. Mods are apointed a Sub-Forum where they have the lead. Then we have Global Mods who have power in the whole forum. And the admins (3 atm) consist of 1 site owner(with all the power to make/delete sub-forums) and the other two who take care of the forum in different time-zones.

That's an interesting system. Our forum is a bit less intricate since it's a small community - a mod can moderate all forums (we used to make the only forum they couldn't moderate the mod forum, but that's changed now), however, their power is intensely limited - they cannot ban, modify user profiles, the lot. We have two admins, one, the site owner, and the other, me. I have one main moderator whose time is four hours different than mine. The other mods are part time, really.

I agree with a couple other people that have posted comment's.
I'v helped moderate several forums and such and yes you do have abuse of power. But alot of mods actualy care.....it is terrible to see abuse. I post regularly on GaiaOnline's Anime Manga and Comics section, until about a couple months ago. when I returned to the forum I found that almost half th
e regs got banned by a new mod. The reason? He didnt like them. That's abuse.

then there are mods who get there azzes kicked on a regular basis by there wife. they gotta go on the boards and lay down the law cause thats the only place they can do it. p**sy azz mods. i deal with one on a regular basis that enforces rules he likes and lets the posters hes azz raping post whatever they want. making sure he or they always get the last word. punks couldnt cut it anywhere they had to actually listen.
