How are you gonna make it to the finals with standard moves? This shit has gone way too far. Man if you want soul filled dancing, go watch Soul Train in the 70's. Man, Hiroshi and Yasuke bring something to house that's really unique. Their steps were a lot harder considering the song wasn't so hard, but it was still nice stuff. Much respect to both sides :P

Sorry for the late response, but you're definitely right about that. The mainstream and media actually coined the term "breakdancing" for bboying which I remember friends taking offense to, but because it was becoming mainstream they accepted it. When it disappeared from the mainstream it was automatically "played out", Hip hop dancing became the new trend. the exploitation of urban dance by foreigners and Caucasians is what's making them all the rave now.

the asian guys where good they did harder/more technical moves but they look like robots performing routines. dancing no matter what style isnt about that, its about lettin the music come into you and interpretin how it makes you feel through your dance. i think thats why byron and linda look much better even if there moves where simpler cuz they felt it and they put out that positive energy that you get from when you really get into the music

that's right. but I didn't like how Byron bullied yasuke off the floor then didn't continue with his flow. that was pretty messed. but you're right, byron and linda are listening to the song and not just using it as a metronome like hiroshi and yasuke. the dancing was technical, all around, though.
