This song is good, could've easily been a classic if it weren't ruined by the horrible drumming.

exactly, their new album didn't have that same depth, that same unique style, "minimal" melodic riffs which had alot turmoil which was just simply beautiful. new stuff is just boring and superficial and its just stupid that its the album that gets people listen to arsis and new fans, its like insult to old fans.

I know what you mean, my buddy Ryan is playing guitar with them, and he's a beast. So I was eager to hear the new album, but was disappointed on some levels, when comparing it to Celebration of Guilt. Still a great fucking band compared to the shit out these days!! For those who don't know, Ryan was in a band called The Knife Trade before joining Arsis. They played a lot with Rapture Cabaret (another good band).

one of the most brutally melodic death metal song I've heard in my ten years of Metal. Seconds 41 - 1 min 13 seconds: you will hear one of the heaviest, tightest, brutal combination of DRUMS n GUITARS of Lifetime.

I've been a fan of Arsis since this album came out [i have one of the first copies and an original Arsis shirt] and they have slowly gone downhill as they substitute melody for technicality.
For me, the departure of mike was a nail in the coffin. Thankfully, A Celebration Of Guilt and A Diamond For Disease are masterpieces.
