Out side of a few speeding and parking tickets I have never had a problem or dealings with the cops. I have always known that they are just doing their jobs. And that in the beginning the probably do enlist to help others but can become a-holes because they don't always meet the best folks in world every day. My problem is: why do they stand around and bond after apprehending a bad guy? Are they just frustrated big game hunters because they can't afford a trip to Africa for elephant or lion?

Ekocenric, i think they do it because they feel good about the job they have just done and they waant to share it with the other cops, and they are all co-workers so its the same as a few guys from the office "hanging out around the water dispencer"

Good point. Normally, I cannot stand them. But the other day I spoke with two here in the mid-west and was left standing in shock when one pointed out that someone would probably say the same thing about me since I am an air force veteran. They could be right..people have been known to say that we are all brain washed. (At least I have a brain to wash....lol)

The officer isn't that fluent in spanish, he stuttered a lot and used incorrect grammer at times, this comming from a spanish officer. They did a good job regardless.

Very good point, especially if it's not your native tongue. For example myself, I seak "good enough" spanish, but under stressful situations, i could probably find myself speaking the same as this officer.
