when I came to Canada from England in 1978 I was shocked to see how many great bands they had that I never heard of back home.Such as Prism,Goddo,FM,Max Webster,Saga,Zon,Harlequin,Fludd,Trooper,Streetheart,Coney Hatch,Wireless,Moxy,Triumph, and I bet I'm forgetting more....Help me out ppl, thanks :)

How about April Wine... did they get airplay in England? I was reading Slash's biography recently (Guns and Roses) and he cited April Wine as a band he was exposed to in L.A. in the 70's.... Also, he mentioned hanging out with the bass player from Triumph in L.A.... Triump, another great Canadian band. While you're at it, do a Youtube search for "A Foot in Cold Water Make me do Anything You Want".... another great Canadian 70's band/song.... thanks for noticing!

babebutz yeah April Wine became known in England , not long after I arrived here in summer of /78.Remember their live album?,it was recorded in London at the Hammersmith Odeon theatre, afmous concert hall. Foot in Cold Water my ex-GF knew the sister of their drummer, who I met in 1990, what a total asshole he is!.Sorry but it's true,I hate arrogance.Helix did a good job of their big hit tho!
