him, the Big Boppe, and Buddy Holly were all on a concert tour, back on February third 1959, when their bus broke down, so Budy Holly rented a plane to get them to their next concert. Ritchie wasnt going to go because he was scared of planes, and their was only room for 3 passengers, they asked Ritchie to go, and he said he didnt want to because he was scared, but Buddy said everything was going to be aright, so he went...and everything wasnt alright. =/

What is your source for that account? Please, a link....You disagree with every eyewitness I know about. Ritchie went on the plane, after he won a coin toss. He wanted to go on the plane. Buddy Holly had intended to take two members of his band on the plane. You must think Waylon Jennings and Tommy Alsup lied about it, or else you are just ignorant.

im not ignorant, and they couldnt have been eye witnesses, he died on a plane with onlyu like 3 other passengers. and those other passengers were the Big Bopper, and Buddy. and Buddy didnt have a band. him, the Big Bopper, Ritchie and some others were all on a tour, and I believe my story is correct because there are movies about it, and also it happened a long time ago, mayhbe thpse eyewitnesses of yours suffer from memory loss, or are lying.

Buddy Holly's band was the Crickets, and it is mostly true that he won "the toss" mentioned in the previous comment. The Crickets took the bus with no heat, Buddy was very sick that night and Mr Jennings offered him the seat on the plane.

Only one is true. They took off from Fargo N.D. on a very snowy night, and the plane crashed about 3 minutes after takeoff. I am 63 and remember the details, AND all the babes in h/s crying like the world had ended. Sad day, though
