Ed's playing bass! And when you see Colin at the beginning he looks to be playing a (black, white pickguard) Telecaster (possibly Thom's old one) - Am I seeing this right?!

You can't improve perfection, but this is deffo the best NO cover I've ever heard. It brought a tear to my eye, and a smile to my face ;-)

Of course it's New Order cover. Who else do you think did it originally ?
Take one guess ... ( 2 months ago by AndrewGB77)
Take one guess dazza and you'll probably guess right. It was not written by 'New Order'.
I think you're ... ( 2 months ago by dazza262)
I think you're being a bit pedantic. Yes it was written by Joy Division, but never recorded (except the live version), but it was New Order's first single. I think that counts as a New Order cover.
The song is ... ( 1 month ago by AndrewGB77)
The song is credited to the four members of Joy Division and as you already know, was first recorded by them. By definition fact finding is a wholly pedantic business.
And who suggested ... ( 1 month ago by dazza262)
And who suggested that this was a fact finding mission. I've been a fan of New Order since 1982, I have pretty much everything they've done, and seen them on numerous occasions. If I want any facts about the band, YouTube wouldn't be the first place that I would look. I merely said that this is the best NO cover that I've heard, which I still believe it is.
There's much more ... ( 1 month ago by AndrewGB77)
There's much more to life than getting irate on a flipping YouTube comments section. People were merely informing you, for your benefit, that this song is not by 'New Order'. But I guess that if you've seen them play 20 times, had illicit liaisons with band members, or own a dozen copies of the original pressing of Blue Monday, then I guess reality will bend a little to suit your opinion. Bye bye.
I'm no New Order ... ( 1 month ago by amnesiac61)
I'm no New Order expert and actually prefer Joy Division however surely if Radiohead did a cover of "Downtown" which was written by Tony Hatch it would be a Petula Clark cover and not a Tony hatch cover, ipso facto this is a New Order cover!!
Thanks for your ... ( 1 month ago by dazza262)
Thanks for your information Andrew. For your information I'm not getting irate at your comments, but stating the FACT that this is a New Order track regardless of who the song writing credits go to. Amnesiac61 hit the nail on the head, it was NO who recorded the track, ergo this is is a NO cover. By the way, the illicit liaisons with the band members are purely rumours. Adios
This is a Joy ... ( 1 month ago by js48737)
This is a Joy Division cover much like Along the watch tower is a Dylan cover. That's my vote.
You're right, All ... ( 1 month ago by amnesiac61)
You're right, All Along the Watchtower is a Dylan cover, not only did he write it but he also recorded the first version. Back to the fact that a cover is a cover of a version of a song whoever it was written by! If you check the facts the Hendrix version is also listed as a cover, so your point is??
