I love Lucy. She is a real sweetie. Of course her house is worth much more than 178K and she, like I, has underpaid taxes for years. I wish mine were as cheap as hers! As for those carpetbaggers using Pilsen to futher their Academic & Social Service Careers, do us a favor, get lost.

Sam's comment looks odd to me, seeing as he has only viewed 5 videos and joined the day he commented on this video. He says he loves Lucy, than attacks the people helping bring her story to light. Sam belives she 'got away' with paying what she was paying. I smell a rat, sam.

Newton, my taxes used to be $140.00 per year. They rarely picked up my garbage. Who could blame them. My taxes are now over 5K a year. A bit much but not that it matters. I rent one of the apartments for $700. per month. I used to rent the same one for $250.00. You are right I am a rat. A very happy fat rat who never left and damn glad I didn't, and yes Lucy is a sweetie. A hot summer night on 18th without her on her bench would be sad indeed.

The sad, frustrating reality is that roughly half of the students in Pilsen and Little Village are either themselves, or their parents, residing in the U.S illegally. If the schools and system treats you so badly...go home. The schools will forever be underfunded due to mismanagement, corruption, and waste, as a clear consequence of an electorate constantly giving Daley, Stroger, Madigan, Emil Jones, Rod Blagoievich and the Chicago Machine blank checks every election day (Obama included).

The only way Daley and Stroger's house of cards can be propped up is by keeping the schools and students in failure so that with a 50 percent drop out rate they have a future of dummy die hard Democrats waiting for handouts...it's the same story in all of urban America. Want to help? Here's what you can do...when you've gotten half way through Art School or a Poli-Sci degree from UIC, have Mom and Dad get you an apartment in Pilsen for not less than $1000 a month. Then stock up on some 'Che' t-shirts and soak yourself in patchouli oil...now your almost ready to become "active" in the 'community.'
If you really need income even after a few 'art shows,' stop bathing, messenger, smoke weed, kiss gangbanger ass and complain about cops...Welcome, new Pilsener!
