I love the comments about no 'project' buildings. Not that it's something to be proud of but Milwaukee is a more violent city than numerous other bigger ones. Los Angeles, New York, Chicago just to name a few.
It's not a good area and having spent some time there I wouldn't want to be there at night. Coo Coo is from a very rough neighborhood. One of the worst in Milwaukee. You go near the area of Ring and 13th (?) is a bit worse.Regardless, projects come in all different shapes and sizes

The conditions of the homes in a hood and the buildings in a project, as well as the mindstate and lifestyle of the residents can be ghetto. Most people, even the ones that live there don't know the difference in the three terms. A hood is also established and maintained by it residents, a project is establish by the state or federal government.
