The borg do indeed rock my friend,i prefer the borg up untill just before we meet the queen in first contact,in TNG they were cyborg zombies that hammered anything that came near them into submission except data and co.After we met the queen it felt to me kinda like a rip off of the queen from aliens.the only good thing to come from voyager was seven of nine and her massive tats. :)

The order in which they are cataloged isn't necessarily the order in which they are engaged. We don't know how long the Borg knew about them. But since they can kick Borg ass it's logical that they move on to absorb other species first and come back later when they're stronger.
