It got to number one because most of the people who bought it weren't familiar with the Tubeway Army original song, so they thought it was a new song. To be honest, if I didn't know about the original version, I'd have bought this single because the tune is of course fantastic. I hope it may have encouraged a few people to check out more of Gary Numan's work - or even Adina Howard's. People who don't bother looking back at older music are going to miss out on a hell of a lot.
